The latest addition to the Schmutz stable of vehicles, a Mercury Milan. The Durango has gone to the junkyard in the sky (thanks to black ice) and so here we are with this. It's kind of a change for us, after the minivans and the Durangos. We're not only going down in vehicle size, but shopping capacity! We'll keep our eyes open for something a little bigger, but we have the 69 GMC if we need it.
Speaking of black ice, Matt hit a patch of it just north of Beaver on his way to visit Sarah last week. Fortunately, he survived the resulting crash and the impact of a car that later slid into him! He was quite sore for a few days, but recovered enough to go to Tucson this weekend with friends.
And speaking of Mercurys, our first car was a Mercury. A two-door '74 Comet with a straight-6. It was a low point in American car-making but it did get us to Ohio and through four winters back there.
This isn't it, but you get the idea. Ours was gray with rusted out rocker panels.
