Venison jerky made a long overdue appearance thanks to Danny and his two-point buck. While he conveniently had to go back to school (or was it the concert in Vegas?) Grandpa and I sliced the meat, seasoned it, then Saturday Andy and I hung it in the shed. Already the smaller pieces are ready to be sampled.
The third leg of the triad of fall food groups needs no introduction, Although a fairly late newcomer to the fall feast (for me, anyway) its flavor and fizz perfectly complement the other two foods.
This food group will reign supreme until about the time that grandma and others start making their christmas candy, so enjoy it while you can!
