Last Friday, June 7, we enjoyed one of those landmark occasions that come into our lives as a part of life. Matt and Cassie were married for time and eternity in the east sealing room of the St. George Temple, the same room where Sarah and Scott were married and the same room where several generations of Schmutzs and Heatons, etc. have been sealed as well.*
*Sidetrail: Peg and I were married in the Manti Temple because the St. George Temple was undergoing renovations at the time.
The following post is kind of picture-heavy, but hey, it was a picture-taking time!
Peggy and her boys waiting for the bride to arrive. In a few weeks we'll be back with Danny as he prepares to leave on his mission.
Mrs. Matthew Schmutz!
The happy couple.
Cassi greeting her mom and dad.
Friends and family waiting to see Matt and Cassi.
Andy enjoying a moment with Mom and Dad
Cassi's family: her uncle and his wife, her grandmother, Matt and Cass, Lori (mom), Dave (dad), and Kate and Andrea (sisters).
The grandkids posing with their new Aunt!
Enjoying the luncheon.
The food was great and company awesome.
Cousins.
The boys and Grace.
Ruby checking out Peg's necklace.
The girls getting ready for the ring ceremony and reception.
Trying to get Ruby ready for a family picture.
The boys aren't shy about posing...
...and neither are the girls!
Ruby spent the whole weekend being cute and adorable and wearing this slightly questioning look as she met lots of new people!
Stella got her finger in the picture.
The ring bearers Lawson and Heaton.
Flower girls Grace and Stella.
Cassandra Rae being escorted by her father, Dave.
Best men Chasen, Justin, Chris, Danny, and Jod.
Lex Chamberlain conducted the ring ceremony and did an outstanding job.
The maids of honor (r.to l.) Kate, Cisi, Sage, Sarah, and of course, Stella and Grace.
Great time for family visiting.
Cutting the cake. To their credit, they didn't smash the cake on each others face!
It was a great couple of days, the result of days of planning, preparation, and hope, and it all came together perfectly. Cassi is a wonderful girl and we're happy with having her and her family part of ours. They're off to a great start!

John, I enjoyed all the pictures. What a beautiful place for the reception, and the weather looked perfect. You have some good looking sons and Sarah is an adorable little mother. Loved the picture of Lex, I haven't seen him for years. We were pretty good friends in high school. Wish I could have been there!
