Hopefully the proceeds from the sale of this car will help some get a kidney, or at least a little more progress in the renal sciences. After Dan left and rather than let it sit for two years during the which it would continue to deteriorate, and having no outstanding "save me, save me," quality like the jeep, we decided to donate it to the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho. It left today. Peg was a little teary-eyed. She didn't see a car go, she saw memories leave on the flat-bed truck. Memories of Matt and Danny learning to drive and trying to kill the car, neither of which they did very well. Except, MAYBE, the driving portion.
We've had a couple of other cars that we still miss and dream about occasionally. The old Cougar still haunts Peg's dreams. The Subaru. I think we'd STILL be driving that sucker if Andy hadn't been hit by that old confused man in the intersection. Our first Dodge Durango, sometimes you don't know how good you've got it till you've lost it. You know what I mean?
