From Jared's back yard, a triangular peak is just visible on the horizon to the south-east. This is Angel Peak. It is part of the BLM Angel Peak Scenic Area and is about 15 or so miles south of Bloomfield.
It sits in the middle of a rolling expanse of badlands and hasn't much to recommend it except the views and relative lack of visitors. It did make for a nice Saturday afternoon drive with Jared, Grace and Stella last weekend.
