Last weekend we made a quick trip to Farmington to visit with the newest addition to our family, Juliet Eve. The trip over was a soggy one as it rained almost nonstop all the way there.
Another perfect granddaughter!
She's checking out Grandma!
This picture doesn't accurately convey how yellow the Animas really was. We took this the day the contamination from the EPA-caused mine waste spill that poured 3 million gallons of toxic waist into the Animas River. It reached Farminton and the San Juan the day we got there.
We brought Grace and Stella home to stay with us for a week and on the way home we stopped at a roadside jewelry stand just the other side of Kaibeto. Peg picked up a little sterling silver bracelet with some turquoise for little Juliet. Mom did that for her granddaughters and great-granddaughters and Peggy wants to keep the tradition going in our family. She also let the girls pick out a necklace. Of course Stella's had horses!
