Dad's Pics



Here's some more shots of our trip. These are from Dad. This is Andy, Dad, and Gilbert taking a break.






This is the remnants of the windlass they used to lower logs and shingles down off the Vermillion Cliffs. They must have been a tough bunch to log up here! You can crawl up to the edge and look straight down.


This is looking down. I took this about a year and a half ago. The boards that you can see have been removed since then. If you have vertigo, don't look!

There's so much slickrock up there, one spot looks pretty much like another. It adds to difficulty in finding your way around once you get on top.

Here's Andy gingerly coming down a steep drop.


And here's me coming down the same drop with Gilbert hanging on the side for a little counter-balance.
