The birthday boy, 2 years old, already!

Mmmmm, pancakes!

We celebrated Lawson's birthday on Saturday although it's really March 1. Scott's folks came up from Cedar and we all drove down to Thanksgiving Point and visited the dinosaur museum there. Lawson played in the sand and water and checked out all the exhibits.

Lawson's favorite seemed to be this huge shark,
Megalodon. Supposedly, it was 2-3 times bigger than a great white. The only fossil record of it are the teeth, and then they infer the rest of it from there. Seems like kind of a stretch, but what do I know? I guess you can extrapolate from the size of the teeth compared to modern day sharks (which apparently haven't developed much since dinosaur days). In fact very few complete skeletons of dinosaurs are found. They just make up the rest from related species and other specimens.

It was like Christmas when it came time open presents!

He's a maniac with the Nerf gun.

Time to cut the cake!
