Disneyland! Magic Mountain! Phantom!

Four years ago Peggy and I went as chaperones with Matt and his high school choral group on their trip to Disneyland.  In fact, the very first post on this blog referred to that trip.*  Our journey this year started with (The Phantom of the Opera' at the Venetian in Las Vegas.

*Four years?  Already?

No photos were allowed but I did get this one before the usher came and told me to cease and desist.

The next (Thursday) morning we all lined up outside Disneyland waiting for the park to open.

I was too cheap to buy the Splash Mountain photo, so I took a picture of it.  Peg's ducking for cover but the water got her anyway!

We were in line to go on the rocket ride talking with a man with three little kids in tow* and only two could go with him so Peggy volunteered to take one with her.

*Although we never asked, what are the chances the guy was LDS?

'Modern Family' was shooting in Disneyland that day.  While Xpress was waiting to go to their workshop we watched the crew set up for a shot in Toontown.
