The Family History Center was opened January 19 at a special ceremony with Norm Albiston present. Brother Albiston is the Global Manager for FamilySearch Centers for the church. He remarked that Kanab and Nauvoo have the only two centers housed in restored historical church buildings.
A look inside the building shows the computer terminals and the newly restored south entrance. Besides providing a great resource for church members in the area, it should prove to be a great draw for tourists walking the streets of Kanab, located right in the middle of town next to the new chapel.
