A few days ago Barry Glazier invited me to hike up Spring Hollow just south of Glendale. He had secured permission from the landowner and wanted to show me an amazing little canyon just off the highway.
Of course, if you go with Barry you better be prepared to take pictures! And why not? We live in an amazing part of the world with wonders like this little canyon around almost every bend.
Barry and Kevin examining some of the many names scratched into the canyon's walls. The earliest we could clearly read dated to 1909, although there was another, very faint, that looked like it was 1889!

John, that looks like a great spot. Is the entire place you hiked on private land, or do you cross private land to get there?
Private. Then there's a short stretch of public land then private as you get further in.
