Blue Fly Aid Station
Over the weekend we had a scout campout on the west edge of the plateau near Tropic Reservoir. We had volunteered to run an aid station for a 50 km race.
Steve and Vincent discussing the next day's activities as the sun sets.
The next morning brought this view.
We had four scouts along on this trip. Two of them are sons of men that I had as scouts years ago!
Getting ready for the runners. Our station had water, a gatorade type drink, pineapple, watermelon, bananas, oranges, and other snacks available.
Runners stopping for a quick recharge. Our station was the first station, about 8 miles in. These folks have about another 24 miles to go! They came through hot and heavy for about two hours.
