Sacrifices Remembered

Just a brief post to give thanks to all who have served and continue to serve in the armed forces of the United States of America both during war and peace. Not only have many given lives, but also their souls, health, and time. Education interrupted or delayed, relationships put on hold or severed, youth and innocence lost, etc.

A special shoutout to Peggy's father who was in Honolulu when Pearl Harbor was attacked and promptly joined the Army. And to my own father, who was part of the Army of Occupation of Japan immediately following WWII. And, of course, to Jared, who we pray swiftly and safely returns from Iraq.
