Matt had his farewell yesterday. We had a lot of family and friends and we were so busy eating and visiting afterward that I neglected to take any pictures. Maybe this picture of Orson Hyde will do for now!
He gave an excellent talk about mothers (It was Mother's Day, after all) and did a wonderful job of comparing his mother to the mothers of the Sons of Helaman. Xpress performed a number and Keith Howells gave a talk on his recently completed mission to Columbus, OH. All in all it was a great meeting.
Nothing deep or philosophical today, just grateful another son has chosen to serve a mission and have the opportunity to learn and grow in the gospel and in his love for the Savior and those whom he'll encounter.
