One of the first thoughts that comes to mind when a son is born to LDS parents is that a future missionary has arrived. As the young man grows he sings "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission" and he watches as older brothers and friends prepare to go, and then leave on their own missions. He might hear stories from dad, uncles, aunts, and others that have answered the call. And of course, he is told of the great missions of the early saints. And then, the day comes. The call has been received and accepted. The suits bought, the farewell spoken, the hair cut, and the good-byes said. The missionary has been set apart and ordained to the gathering of the wheat from the tares.

I think he's going to make an awesome missionary! :D
Thanks, Kelsie. We think so too.
Wow, I am amazed at what a wonderful family you have and truly am grateful for all the great examples Garrett has like you said in all his cousins, uncles, and aunts. Thanks Matt! Truly a handsome missionary!
If you guys want to ever look at my blog then you can just email me at kelsie.lynn@gmail.com and I can send you an invite or something. Just in case haha
Matt looks very handsome with his new haircut! A bit like Jared, although he probably wouldn't want to hear that! We are so proud of Matt!
I can see Peg trying to hold back the tears.
Matt is a great kid - and I'm sure a great missionary!
