Lima, Peru

After flying all day Saturday, from SLC to LA to Lima, we arrived early on Sunday morning.  Our plane touched down shortly before 1 am.  Our hotel was right across the street from the terminal and we walked right in and went to a welcome bed!  The next morning we had breakfast and were on the bus by 9:30 am for a quick tour of part of Lima before our next flight.

Looks like la Policia are ready to keep Peggy in check!

Made a quick trip through the Cathedral.

We drove through parts of Lima like Limatambo, Jesus Maria, and Miraflores.   The names brought back lots of memories but I recognized nada!  Of course, more than forty years have passed and Lima has grown significantly in that time.  I did serve for a time in Jesus Maria, but the parts a tourist sees and the city a missionary sees are different.  It would have been nice to drive by 388 Los Cedros in San Isidros to see the mission office and home, or whatever is there now.

One thing hasn't changed, Inca Kola!
