I've commented before on our prolific cucumber vines and now the tomatoes are beginning to ripen and so last Saturday Peggy and I decided to try our hand at making salsa.

The tomatoes, green and anaheim peppers came from the garden and the cilantro, onions, jalepenos, and sorrento peppers came from that other 'garden', the grocery store.

Salsa making is a messy business. At least if you do it the way we did it!

It's all coming together!

Unbeknownst to us, Andy caught us in the act of sampling the salsa. Today was casual Saturday in the kitchen.

Mmmmmmm. Waiting for the chips, and the freezer.

Yummmm!!!! That looks so good. What a great feeling to know that it came from your garden (with a little help) too!
Too bad we're not closer. We have plenty of jalepenos.
Mmmmm, how 'bout a trade? A can of raspberry peach or apricot jam for some salsa!?! Coming down on Thursday!
Send me some of that goodness!! Kidding...
But when i show up at your door with chips do not be shocked!
Rachel,
You came and went without getting any! Thanks for the jam, anyway. I'll try to remember to drop some off on our way so see Sarah sometime.
Kristi,
You're welcome anytime, esp. if yo have chips! Maybe next time you visit Sarah and Scott they'll have some to share with you.
